After 40 years serving patients in Gwinnett County with Family and Cosmetic Dental Care, Dr. Sandlin has focused his practice on TMJ and Oral Rehabilitation. His consultative approach, experienced treatment, and life-changing results attract patients from all over the Southeastern United States.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Emory University, and the Academy for Bioesthetic Dentistry, Dr. James Sandlin is a native of Atlanta, GA. His expertise and reputation have earned him the appearance as a featured speaker for the Georgia Dental Association, and the privilege of being an adjunct faculty member for both Emory University and the Georgia Regents University School of Dentistry. He's also received the International Federation of Dentists Award for outstanding achievement, and is a member of the ADA, GDA, NDDS, and ABD.
Dr. Sandlin has achieved Level 4 Certification in Oral Diagnosis and Rehabilitation through the Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry. This training is based on the principles of helping your jaw heal in its naturally stable position, insuring your teeth support this healthy position when you chew and swallow, and reducing muscle forces to your mouth, jaw, neck, and throat during function. Together, these eliminate most TM Joint Disorders.
Dr. Sandlin offers non-surgical treatment for TMJ Diseases and Facial Pain. Sandlin, DDS also coordinates with medical specialists to support their management of Sleep Disturbances such as snoring and sleep apnea.
Rooted In Local Community
Dr. James Sandlin lives out his genuine care for others. When he's not in the office, he might be found instructing other dentists in a foreign nation, or helping Bearings Bike Works in Atlanta. He is also very involved as a member of Bike Walk Savannah, the League of American Bicyclists, and with the Adventure Cycling Association. He and his wife Paula have raised their 4 wonderful children in the Duluth community for over 35 years.
